Wedding Wednesday: Bridesmaid Dress Inspiration!

Very few girls in this world grow up dreaming of having their bridesmaids in mustard yellow on their wedding day... believe me folks, I wasn't one of those girls either! It was going to be purple or peach for as long as I can remember, but in the last two years mustard tops the list & so mustard it is. 

I am allowing each "maid" to pick her own dress from any store she likes as long as it fits these requirements:

// mustard colored (each received a swatch of fabric to compare) // not too long & not too short // summery // uniquely their own style // casual (not formal in any way shape or form)

Most all of them have bought dresses & I have to say they are coming together quite nicely. For a girl who likes organization and things to be decided in clear-cut fashion, it's been quite agonizing to wait and see and wonder how they will all pull together. Luckily, I have trustworthy bridesmaids and the final say in the whole matter so there's really nothing to worry about ;)

Wedding Wednesday: Dress Inspiration

Woo hoo we're getting married, which means that I can finally begin my very own series of "Wedding Wednesday" posts I've seen on many other blogs sharing ideas, inspiration, & DIY projects as we count down the months to the big day.  

I am happy to announce that just a few short days after the engagement...I said YES to the dress!!! That's right, picky ole' Ali found a dress at the first store! And not to mention it was also the first dress I tried on. I went in knowing that I wanted lace, a tighter fitting, something with shoulders, & off-white in color, which made the selecting process quite easy. We walked out with something so perfect. Eeeek! I want to share it on this here space so badly, but am going to try my very best to refrain & save it for the big day. I think one of the toughest things is going to be holding back from showing Lee. I am the absolute worst with surprises. Say a prayer for me people. 

For today though I will tease you with three beautiful dresses I had pinned before the engagement & inform you that it's somewhat similar in a few ways to two of them, but nothing like the other. Which ones though you ask? You will just have to wait & see!

i am so proud/thankful/happy that lee thought to capture the entire proposal on film. because of his thoughtful 
planning, we are fortunate enough to be able to re-live this special moment over & over again for the rest of our 
lives. butterflies in my tummy. enjoy!

Exploring

{Lee's face looks a bit distorted due to the tree- woops}

Lee & I love to explore the woods together. I enjoy the time spent holding his hand and getting my work-out on & he gets to be near animals. It's a win win for both of us. On this particular occasion Lee wanted to show me a spot he had in mind for wedding pictures. Eeeek! Still can't believe we get to have a wedding & be married people who sleep by each other and such. I am getting lots done as far as planning goes and plan to share bits & pieces of inspiration and ideas here as we get further along. Hope your week is peachy!
